Vivary Park & Vivary Adventure Centre


For a leisurely day outdoors, head to Vivary Park. This beautiful green space is perfect for families, with its playgrounds, high ropes, tennis courts, mini-golf, and expansive lawns. Take a stroll along the tree-lined paths, enjoy a picnic, or simply relax by the lake. The park also hosts various events throughout the year, adding to its vibrant community atmosphere.


The Museum of Somerset


Free to visit, the Museum resides in the 12th century Taunton Castle where it showcases Somerset’s journey from prehistoric times to present.


Hestercombe Gardens


Well-known for its beautiful fourth century gardens, Hestercombe offers three acres of grounds to explore for walks or organised events. It offers activities and events for all ages ranging from arts and crafts to garden trails and live music!


Somerset Cricket Club

Quantock Hills


Around a 20-minute drive from Taunton, the Quantock Hills offer breathtaking scenery and brilliant hiking opportunities. With miles of trails exploring heathland, ancient parklands, agriculture and oak woodlands, the Quantocks is a lovely location for a Sunday Walk.
